China to establish first overseas military facility in Djibouti

Gen. David Rodriguez, the commander of U.S. Africa Command, has confirmed that China will establish its first overseas military facility after signing a 10-year agreement to build a military logistics hub in Djibouti.

The base, he said, would serve as a logistics hub for China to be able to “extend their reach.”

China joins the United States, France, and Japan in opening a military facility there.

    So both China and the US are going to have an overseas military facility in a tiny country?

    Does this strike anyone as borderline Cold War?
