The Indonesian Navy wants to buy two more hospital ships from local shipyard PT PAL, Jakarta Post reports.
Indonesian Defense Minister Ryamizard Ryacudu said his ministry will consider the request. Ryacudu made the comments after a meeting with the three service chiefs.
Navy Chief of Staff Admiral Ade Supandi told The Jakarta Post he expects the new ships to be similar to the current hospital ship – KRI Dr Soeharso.
