Poland to pick winner for attack helicopter contest end of this year

Poland will decide on a new attack helicopter later this year, Deputy Defense Minister Czeslaw Mroczek said.

“We are planning to complete the procedure of choosing a supplier of attack helicopters for the Polish army by the end of the year,” Czeslaw Mroczek told journalists.

PLA S-300 air defense system put RoCAF IDF fighter under radar lock-on

Taiwan’s military has confirmed that an upgraded IDF fighter was put under radar lock-on by a Chinese S-300 air defense missile system last year.

The fighter had taken off from Tainan Air Force Base and was flying over Penghu islands when the jet’s radar warning receivers warned the pilot that he had been locked-on. The pilot broke the lock after taking evasive maneuvers.

Indian Air Force Mi-35 gunship crashed

A Indian Air Force Mi-35 gunship on a night training flight crashed on Apr. 25. Three on board survived the crash.

The rotorcraft went down in Suratgarh city of Sriganganagar district at around 20:30 hours.
