Unidentified customer places order for RBS 70
Saab has received an SEK270 million order for the delivery of RBS 70 missiles and additional equipment and training with a customer who does not wish to be identified.

HMS Defender in training exercise with Eurofighters from II (AC) Squadron
The Royal Air Force’s II (AC) Squadron deployed to RNAS Culdrose for a week-long exercise near the English Channel with HMS Defender.

The deployment also tested the squadron’s ability to operate outside its home base at RAF Lossiemouth.

F-16 flies with Legion Pod IRST for first time
The Legion Pod IRST was flown on board a F-16 for the first time recently, demonstrating the ease of integrating the sensor to the aircraft.

Swedish Supreme Commander says Russian fighters firing flares during encounters
Sweden’s top military chief Gen. Sverker Goransson on Monday said Russian fighters had released flares at Swedish Air Force planes during encounters over the Baltic Sea.

Goransson added that the Russian planes break formation and flew at unsafe distances.

RAAF C-27J arrives in Australia
The Royal Australian Air Force’s first C-27J has arrived at its home at RAAF Base Richmond on Jun. 30. The RAAF also took the opportunity to mark the 90th anniversary of the base’s establishment.
