U.S. Air Force Secretary Deborah James doe not rule out deploying the F-22 as part of a theater security package to Europe in response to Russia’s aggression in the region.

“I could easily see the day — though I couldn’t tell you the day exactly — when the F-22, for example, rotates in is a possibility. I don’t see why that couldn’t happen in the future,” James said.

Russian President Vladimir Putin said at an arms fair west of Moscow on Jun. 16 that Russia intends to add more than 40 new intercontinental ballistic missiles (ICBM) this year.

“The nuclear forces will be supplemented this year with 40 new intercontinental ballistic missiles that will be capable of overcoming any, even most technically sophisticated missile defense systems,” he said.

Lockheed Martin, Raytheon and Bombardier join forces for JSTARS Recap Program

Lockheed Martin will lead a team with Raytheon and Bombardier to offer their solution for the U.S. Air Force’s JSTARS Recapitalization program.

Georgia’s Defense Minister Tina Khidasheli announced she had signed a contract to buy an air defense equipment from a French company during the Paris Airshow.

Judging from the video and photos released, the country seems to have bought the ThalesRaytheonSystems Ground Master 200 mobile air defense radar.

The Royal Jordanian Air Force has decided to purchase more sets of the Thales I-Master SAR/GMTI radars. The selection follows the successful delivery and installation of the radar onto their Royal Jordian Air Force AC-235 aircraft in 2014.
