Did Israel offer the Iron Dome to Saudi Arabia?

A London-based Arab newspaper reported that Israel conveyed a proposal to provide Saudi Arabia with Iron Dome missile defense system via American diplomats.

Rai al-Youm said Saudi officials met the U.S. Ambassador for Jordan in Annam last week. However, the Saudi side rejected the offer.
Saudi Arabia had been facing attacks on the border with Yemen from Houthi rebels.

South Korea’s purchase of AW-159 under scrutiny

A joint South Korean governmental investigation team has accused three Navy officers of falsifying the evaluation report for the AW-159 naval helicopter.

Investigators found that the aircraft’s endurance and weapons capabilities are inferior than the Navy’s requirements.
Furthermore, the evaluation was done using another model of the helicopter with added weight attached and after studying simulator results.
Three other officers, including a rear admiral, are being detained as well.

Pentagon selects Clear Air Force Station for Long Range Discrimination Radar

The Pentagon will install a new long-range radar at Clear Air Force Station in central Alaska.

The Long Range Discrimination Radar (LRDR) will improve target discrimination capability of the U.S. Ballistic Missile Defense System.

T-45C crashed into San Diego Bay

A VT-9 T-45C overshot the runway at NAS North Island and crashed into San Diego Bay on May 22. The pilot ejected and was recovered safely.
