The first images of the surface-launched version of the Sky Sword II radar guided air-to-air missile has been released by Chung-Shan Institute of Science & Technology.
The photo below shows the missile being launched from a Knox-class frigate.

CSIST has also managed to fire the missile in vertical-launch mode.
The main difference with the existing missile is the attachment of a booster rocket.

Rockwell Collins has performed the first successful Live, Virtual, Constructive (LVC) air combat training flight using production JSAS (Joint Secure Air combat training System) equipment.
During the demonstration, a L-29 was fitted with a Joint Secure Air combat training System (JSAS) equipment to allow it to emulate as an F-35.
