USNS Lewis B. Puller could deploy off the coast of Africa

USNS Lewis B. Puller’s first assignment could be positioning Marines off the coast of Africa, Marine Times reported.

The actual position is unclear as both the Mediterranean and the Gulf of Guinea have been suggested.

Having am afloat forward staging base (AFSB) off the coast of Africa will cut down the time for getting 250 Marines on the continent from 16 to single digit hours.
