Fire broke out inside E-2C just before Shinzo Abe’s visit to USS Ronald Regan

An electrical fire broke out inside a E-2C assigned to VAW-115 on board USS Ronald Regan Oct. 18 as the carrier was about to host Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe.

The ship’s damage control flying squad responded and extinguished the fire, a Navy statement said.
