Saudi has turned down Letter of Offer and Acceptance for four MMSCs

Defense News reports that Saudi Arabia has rejected a U.S. Letter of Offer and Acceptance (LoA) for four Multi-Mission Surface Combatant (MMSC), based on the Lockheed Martin littoral combat ship (LCS) design, due to costs and the delivery time frame.

Sources said the first ship will only reach Saudi hands in seven years after the contract has been signed.
