Chinese man to be executed for selling secrets to foreign country

China has sentenced a man for execution after he was caught selling information on a shortwave encryption device to foreign spies.

The 42 year-old Huang Yu is said to have started selling the secrets after he was fired from his job as a researcher in the unit that develops the encryption device.

He had received a total of $700,000 during 21 meetings. And all these started back in 2002.

When he had run out of data to sell, he enlisted the help of his wife and he also hacked into the personal computer of his brother-in law, who is a chief engineer at his previous workplace.

Huang was finally apprehended in 2011.
