U.S. Navy official charged for brandishing a gun

The U.S. deputy assistant secretary of the Navy for the environment has been put on paid administrative leave after being charged in Virginia with brandishing a firearm.


Karnig Ohannessian’s actions on Jun. 11 were filmed and posted on YouTube. The law in Virginia bars anyone from brandishing a firearm and the punishment includes a maximum penalty of one year in jail and a $2,500 fine.
