The Philippine Navy has retired its oldest warship, the BRP Rajah Humabon (PS-11), at Sangley Point, Cavite on Mar. 15.

Ukraine exporting one Oplot main battle tank to United States

HMS Sutherland will go to South China Sea to assert FON rights

The Royal Navy will dispatch HMS Sutherland to the South China Sea to assert freedom-of-navigation rights, according to British Defence Secretary Gavin Williamson in an exclusive interview with The Australian.

101st Airborne Division first unit to field M17, M18 pistol

The U.S. Army’s 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault) is the first unit to field the new M17 and M18 pistol. More than 2,000 M17 and M18 handguns were delivered to Fort Campbell on Nov. 17.

VA-111 Shkval to be modernized

New sniper kill distance record set by Canadian soldier

A Canadian sniper took out a ISIL fighter with his TC-50 rifle from a distance of 3.54 km in Iraq last month. This has been confirmed as a new record for the longest distance kill.

Group wants to bring ROCS Fen Yang (ex USS Kirk) back to U.S.

A group lead by retired Capt. Paul Jacobs hopes to bring the former USS Kirk – now operating as ROCS Fen Yang – back to the U.S. once the ship is retired in Taiwan. In April 1975, Kirk lead remnants of the South Vietnamese navy to safety in Philippines. Saving thousands of civilians.

South Korea transferring one Pohang-class corvette to Philippines for $100

The Philippine government said Seoul will be transferring one Pohang-class corvette to Manila for just $100. The ship still has to be refurbished before the Philippine Navy can utilize it.
